Maroon Bells sequence 4

Maroon Bells is one of the most photographed sites in Colorado during its fall peak, usually around Sept 20. there are literally photographers every 10 ft surrounding Maroon Lake. These 4 shots were taken on October 11, long after the peak color was over. I was there at sunrise with only 3 other photographers. These shots were much more rewarding than the standard fall shots of Maroon Bells, which there are thousands, many looking all the same. This shot, the last of the sequence, shows the clouds overtaking the mountain, winter not far behind.
